About us

We write for the boyfriend, not the algorithm

Gifts for Girlfriend exists because "gifts for girlfriend" returns ten thousand identical lists, and not one of them knows your date, your budget or her.

Our mission

Gifts for Girlfriend is a single-subject site about gifts for girlfriends. It exists because searching that phrase returns ten thousand interchangeable lists written by nobody for everybody, while the person doing the searching has three specific things those lists ignore: a date, a budget, and someone he actually knows.

What we publish is method before merchandise — how to read an occasion, how to shop from her world instead of the gift aisle, what a personalized item's production time really does to your calendar, and how to check a listing's claims before you trust them. Every guide is a buying guide. We have not tested, handled or photographed anything named here, and you will never find an invented test result, price or rating on this site.

The site is funded by Amazon affiliate links. They never decide what gets recommended, and they never change what you pay.

The standards

  • Buying guides, not lab reviews. We explain how to choose — the occasion, the budget, the timing, the taste. Nothing named on this site has been tested, handled or unwrapped by us, and we never imply otherwise.
  • How to check, in your own hands. Where a gift turns on a listing detail — gold-filled versus plated, a sterling stamp, a stated carat weight, a made-to-order production time — we tell you what the term means and where the seller has to state it, so you can verify it on the product page before you buy. We are describing how to read a listing, never asserting what a particular item is made of.
  • No invented numbers. No made-up prices, ratings, review counts or reaction rates. Where a price appears it comes from live retailer data; otherwise we send you to check it yourself.
  • The date is part of the gift. A guide that recommends a personalized item without naming its production time has not finished the job.
  • Specific over viral. A gift that could have gone to anybody usually did.

The editor

Chloe Bennett has written about relationships for lifestyle magazines for eight years, and has spent most of those Februaries answering the same panicked message from the same friends. The three questions she always asked back — what is the date, what does she already reach for, how long does the thing take to make — became the structure of every guide here.

On money

Purchases through our links may earn us a commission at no cost to you; the affiliate disclosure explains the arrangement in full. Commissions never decide what a guide recommends, and we accept no paid placement, sponsored ranking or gifted-product review. Questions belong on the contact page.
